Facebook is being tested a new feature, ' Facebook Questions '. These features allow a member of Facebook to give the questions to the approximately 500 million members located in the social networking site.
Director of Product Management Facebook Blake Ross says, this feature is still in beta which will help members utilize the collective knowledge of other members. Ross noted, often members of Facebook are routinely ask question to their friend on Facebook.
" With new application, you can get
a wider response and learn valueable information from others about various topics, " said Ross, as quoted from Newscom, Thursday ( 07 / 28 / 2010 ).He gave an example, if a users on vacation in Costa Rica and want to know the best places to surf, you can use this feature to get answers from fans of surf at that location.
" You will receive an answers that is more personal to you, " said Ross.
He said that Facebook Question this feature is temporarily limited to the number of members only because it is still in development stage. But Facebook will eventually develop it quickly for use by all members.
Users can mark question with a specific topic such as, ' Photography ' or ' Cycling ' and the question will be addressed to those who have expressed interest in particular topics that you tag, and also a friend and the friend of your friend on Facebook.
Actually this feature has also been developed by Yahoo through Yahoo Answers.
