Nokia calls LTE trial on GSM Network

Nokia Siemens Network and Nokia are calling the world's first LTE data with commercial devices at Nokia Siemens Network GSM frequency bands, 80MHz.

For your information, this spectrum is also known as the Digital Dividend, which is available when the terrestrial TV broadcasters switch from analog to digital. This successful interoperability test marked a definitive step in the commercialization of LTE bands,
especially to speed LTE deployment in rural areas.

" Testing is part of various trials and demonstrations by the costumer to make LTE in 800MHz frequency band is available commercially, this summer," says Reino Tammela, head of LTE business line, Nokia Siemens Network, in his testimony, Tuesday, July 13, 2010.

Tammela mentioned, immediately after the Digital Dividend spectrum first given to the operator in the tender spectrum in Germany in May 2010, the available of LTE network products and LTE user devices based on commercial standards for his frequency band is very important.

" This will support the successful deployment of LTE network quickly, " said Tammela. "Thus, users can be experience mobile broadband services with speed and high quality in rural areas with a variety of terminals," he said.

Because the ability of interesting wave propagation, Digital Dividend spectrum is ideal for providing broadband service to move fast and cost effective.

with the release of these frequency bands by the regulator and its use for LTE, the timing of this test is considered appropriate. " The trial is to help Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks showed its commitment to deliver 800 commercial LTE network operator as soon as possible," said Tammela.

Testing was conducted at the Center of Competence LTE, Nokia Siemens Networks in Espoo, Finland, following the start produced multiradio flexi base station is ready to LTE for the 800MHz band in April this Year, and complement previous testing with Nokia at 2100MHz and 2600MHz frequency bands.
